OMGPINK!

As you may have probably noticed, Disdainful-Soul.net has a new layout! Now, there are two reasons to celebrate its sheer awesomeness: first of all, it is pink because of Pink for October, and second of all (and this is the most exciting thing of all), I made it myself! No more am I condemned to using premades! (Not that your Season’s Epilogue wasn’t lovely, Rilla… I wish I could design like you)

Anyway, what does everyone think? I know the pink is a bit stark, but… it’s pink. I’ll be fiddling with some of the colours now and then, but this is basically it. Now I’m going to be just fixing up some pages, link to some writing that I have written but have not linked. And fixed the plugins used page.

I had something else to say, but I’m stuck now. Me can’t brain today; I have the dumb.

Potential Content

Apart from my actual blog entries, Disdainful-Soul.net is actually rather empty. As you may have noticed, I have begun adding to a visitor section, but it is a slow process. As time goes by, I hope to add to it, piece by piece. Acid River kicked off what will become a series of games aimed at small groups of people, while Links and Styles will be the first of hopefully many Internet articles (for some reason my anthropology-ness is coming through, and I might be writing something about that…).

I would love, love love to eventually add some PHP stuff for download. The thing with regards to that is I have no clue what I could make. So that’s on the “I totally wish” list. I’ve managed to master the basics of porting designs to wordpress, and am now on the tweaking. Although I don’t perceive myself as a web designer (my tutor thinks otherwise) I’d like to make some themes for download.

One thing that has definitely come to mind is what has become known as “The N00b’Z Guide To…” which is a guide to different things Kiwi - while we’re at it, the term N00b’Z is deliberate, a corny attempt to allude to NZ. While Rachael’s suggestion of a guide to sheep-shagging will not be done (for obvious reasons), they will be very Kiwi. Ones planned are the N00b’Z Guide to: Wellington; The North Island; The South Island; Language; Music; Movies; and NZ as Middle Earth. Probably more will occur to me, but it’s late and I just got off work.

I could have sworn I had more things to write, but oh well. Please leave me suggestions/requests.
