A guy I know had just proposed to his girlfriend.
This came as no surprise to me, as he and I were talking that stuff over, as he was trying to decide whether to push the date of proposal forward by a good half-year because of outside circumstances (basically, it was a case of when, not if).
This had only remind me that, in the dating-sense, I am a very slow developer. Actually, I have not developed at all. Here my friend is, not much younger than I am, and engaged. One of the guys I lived in the hall of residence with is married and babied (and has been for a few years now).
I, meanwhile, have never been on a date.
I’ll be 21 and a half in about a fortnight…
Oh well. At least I am not like certain LJ mommies.
Lol, you’re not the only one! I’m exactly the same, although slightly younger.
But do you really want what J&K have? A baby at age 20? I *definitely* want more than that…travel, studies…it’s about what you want, not what others are achieving. I know, I need to learn to take that advice myself, but hey!
Cat, I just want to say this. <3 for you. I can see it, one of these days, some nice boy is going to ask you on a date, and you’re going to run on the internet and tell me. (I hope you would!) Us boys are stupid creatures, I’m sure one of us will come around for you, and notice that you’re this truly awesome (beautiful, and yes, I mean that) person.

I’m in the exact same position.. one of my high school friends are married (and they hadn’t known each other for ages either… also a little jealous of my friends who have those long relationships…=_=).. and I hadn’t even gone on a date!
I agree with Holly in that we are not the only ones… but it sure does feel like it! ~_~;;
