Forget what I said earlier about not being a web designer. I did not lie, but apparently I underestimated my abilities.
Ta da! A layout made by me! With a little inspiration from Lene and some colour help from the ColourLovers palette non-symphony.
There are probably some kinks here and there that I need to work on, but overall it works. It’s not entirely what I had in mind, but I like it. While I was in maintance mode I also upgraded to the latest version of Wordpress.

I would consider a “web designer” to be someone who does it professionally. I wouldn’t call someone a web designer soley based on their skill. It would be like calling someone an accountant because they’re good at managing their money, ya know?
Reply: Well, considering that I am currently finishing my diploma in web design/development with plans to do it professionally… well. Would that make me a web designer then?
As I wrote in an earlier post, I used the terms “web designer” and “web developer” to separate those who design over those who do the coding/backend sort of things. Because I am not a visual person, I considered myself a “web developer” rather than a designer (while lamenting my lack of abilities design-wise). The title “I Am A Web Designer” is simply taking off the previous title “I Am Not A Web Designer”.
