To-Do Lists
If there is one thing that I have been doing a lot of in the past few months, it is making lists. Not shopping lists, not notes for university or whatever, it is to-do lists.
Now, while there is no stopping me when it comes to making these to-do lists, the problem is that I never really get to complete anything that’s on that list. Like today in class, I wrote a half-dozen things, and knowing me, it won’t ever get completed. Le sigh.
Of course, my brain immediately wandered over to the creation of a new list, with regards to this blog here. As a part of class, we were instructed to start a blog, in order to improve our writing, and so I am taking up that challenge. Although I already had a LiveJournal, I am wanting to do something a bit more than the occassional, “And today I did this, and saw this person and we did this etc etc” nonsense.
So, my latest to-do list is going to be short.
- At least once a week, write a blog entry that is “interesting” or “thought-provoking” or “mentally stimulating”.
- Once a month, write a review for a book, movie or CD that I have read/watched/listened to recently.
And that is that. Wish me luck.
Hello world!
It’s tradition to have the first bit of coding read “Hello, world!”, and so I think that this is what the title of this entry shall remain. Hello, world, indeed.
So….
I read a couple of blogs, and a lot of articles on blogging, but after all that I have nothing really interesting to say. I wish I could write something insightful for my first day, but apparently “Hello, world” is going to be my limit.
While my life and opinions are not the most exciting things on the planet, I’ll give it my best shot.
And as corny as that sounds, it’s all anyone has ever asked of me.
