21 Is Such A Good Number!
I am now 21. I have been for just over two days now. I still don’t feel any different, though.
On Saturday it was the local Christmas parade, and so I was on the back of a truck leading Girl Guides in songs and chants. Funnily enough, I didn’t lose my voice until towards the end of work that evening. Yes, I had to work on my birthday, which meant I had to delay all celebrations until Sunday.
Again, after work. Although as I work Sunday mornings through to the early afternoon it was not as bad.
Now, onto presents!
Are pens a traditional 21st present? Because I got two of those fancy Parker pens, one from a neighbour and one from my aunt and uncle. I suspect I won’t be using those pens a lot as they are really fancy and I tend to not use fancy pens.
Unless they’re fountain pens, then I use them as often as I can. Unfortunately, I don’t have a fountain pen at the moment. Again, sadface.
But wait, there’s more!
My parents gave me a gift that delighted me and pissed off my little sister. They gave me a black iPod Classic, which I am using right now.
Me: OMG thank you! *snuggles box*
Sister: She gets an iPod?! How come?!
Dad: It’s her 21st birthday.
Me: *breaks from snuggling, albeit temporarily* You already have an iPod!
Sister: So?
Me: *is not paying attention now; still snuggling the iPod*
I did have to wait until Sunday to actually try out my iPod, as I needed to download the new iTunes. Blech.
But so far the iPod is wonderful! So much space, I’m able to watch videos and I can see what the screen says!
