Bloodlust
Is it possible to crave and want and hate to want something when you’ve barely had a taste?
I suppose there’s a sense of irony to the fact that the thing I am wanting is a book about vampires? Although a few friends from America have mentioned reading the Twilight series, I’ve never expressed more than a passing interest in them. I like vampire romances (yay Night World series), but it was not an ultimate goal in life.
Now? I have spoiled myself rotten thanks to wikipedia, been reading up about the movie (yes, they have a director and a writer! Why am I excited about that?), and been reading anything and everything on the Twilight Lexicon. I’m actually very impressed with how eloquent Mrs Meyer is, and how heavily involved she is with her fanbase. She makes me really want to read it now.
Ah well. Another thing to add ye olde wishlist, seeing as when I looked for it the other day on the WCL catalogue it did not come up. So there it is now, right alongside the Labyrinth Anniversary Edition and Gargoyles first season.
I need to win lotto, or something.
EDIT: Why does WCL have, not one, but FOUR copies of City of Bones? Stupid dreck.
THE EDIT STRIKES BACK: Hey, WCL does have Twilight! Yes!
RETURN OF THE EDIT: And they have the other two books! Yus yus yus! Off to reserve them.
EPISODE ONE: THE PHANTOM EDIT: Reserve placed. You are number 7 in the reserves list. There are 3 holdable copies. Frick!
EPISODE TWO: ATTACK OF THE EDITS: When did the cost of reserves go up from $1 to $2?
EPISODE THREE: REVENGE OF THE EDIT: …. Oh come on! You’d thing I get this far and stop at Attack of the Edit? Puh-lease.
