A Software Pimp
When I first started building ‘websites’ (aka, whataloadofcrap), I started using Dreamweaver. This was using the WYSIWYG section; I didn’t know what the texty stuff was. I tried to back-learn stuff, but I failed. Bad table versions ahoy.
When I actually started writing something that vaguely resembled HTML, I used basic NotePad. I tried all sorts of other ones, but I didn’t stick with them at all.
However, this year I discovered a little something called NotePad++. It was love at first sight, and now I code all my stuff in it: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP… it colour-codes it all, and is so easy to see. Has line-duplication and tabbing and everything.
I really suggest you take a look.
/pimpage.
On another note, once my CMS assignment is done, I want to add some visitor content to the site. I’d like to do something like javascript or PHP, but one of my main problems is deciding WTF do to. Something simple, duh, but… no idea. What’s simple, yet needed?

I’ve been using NotePad++ for a while now and the newest version available brings in a Trojan Virus. Well, it didn’t do anything for the first month or so and then one day, it started eating up itself every time I restarted my computer. I deleted it and reinstalled with an older version and that didn’t happen again.
Ew. Well, I haven’t updated it in a while, so I am good, it seems.
Thanks for letting me know, though.
I’ve only ever used notepad (not plus!) for my coding, and that’s where I do everything… I’m weird in that colour coding doesn’t really seem to help me out… The colours get a bit overwhelming after a while and I find myself going “OH MY GOD MAKE IT GREY AGAIN!”
I was like that, hence why I kept going back to NotePad. So I did find it was a little odd that I took to NotePad++ so quickly.
I still do not like coding in DreamWeaver, like some other people I know.
