DVDs Yay! And A Weird Sheep.

So I’m bored, and looking around at my DVD collection, thinking I could watch something when I realise, “When did I get so many DVDs?” So here I am making a list.

Also: I really love two-disk special editions. That’s why I am searching on TradeMe for a two-disk special edition of Beauty and the Beast. Anyway, and purchases planned in the year ahead:

And in keeping with the theme of weird things I see while on a bus, on the way home today I saw a sheep running down the motorway. It had most likely escaped from the meat works (which is on SH1) and was making a dash for freedom. Or was a dumb sheep and just happened to run. One or the other.

    Hi fellow New Zealander! :P

Wow you have a lot of DVDs. I really want to see Dreamgirls. But more than that, I want to see the sheep on the motorway. Now please tell me which NZ city I can see that. The buses I take never go on the motorway.

(Glad you like my new design. But you might like to download the new version because there’s a few bugs in version 1.0.)

Wellington. Basically, SH1 heading north goes through the Ngauranga Gorge, and on the lane heading north is Preston (?) Meatworks, where they take the animals to be killed and processed.

Occasionally, an animal escapes, such as this sheep. A friend of my mother’s has a story of how she found an escaped sheep from the meatworks on her roof. For realz.

The suburb where I live is on the edge of farmland, so my bus driver has had to implement defensive driving moves to avoid running over a sheep. And more exciting sheep related things. I only live 20 mins from central Wellington.

It’s not as many, once you take out the Harry Potter and Star Wars ones. A few of mine (such as 300, which I bought yesterday) are second-hand from work. If you’re wanting DVDs, but don’t want to pay super-huge prices, check into your local Video Ezy. They sell off extra, already viewed copies of new release movies at a price cheaper than what you’d pay for the new. 300 is being sold in places at around $30-$40, but I bought an already viewed (but still perfectly fine) copy for $15. I did the same with Dreamgirls, $15 instead of $30+.

$15 is about the cost of a movie ticket nowadays, and you rent new releases overnight for around $9. Just a tip, if you want to expand your collection.

    And Dreamgirls is good. :D

How did you picture me then?

And yay! I fell all special being #1. I thought for a second it might be done alphabetical… but no. XD

    I honestly imagined you… blonde.

You must have been imagining me in summer. I’m blonde in summer, dirty blonde/light mouse brown in winter (which is just ending now).
